The Best Foods to Detox Your Body

Sick of feeling lethargic, fatigued, and fat? Well, a detox could possibly be for you!

Try reducing refined carbohydrates, alcoholic beverages, dairy products, and caffeinated drinks from your current diet, and start including these foods to feel completely renewed.

Cabbage: Cabbage (92% water) is known for being an excellent way to obtain fiber, minerals, and vitamins such as K, C, A, E, and vitamin B folic acid.

Veggies: The chlorophyll contained in these foods could remove from the body the harmful toxins from the environment and could help the liver in detoxification.

  • Bake: Baking veggies brings out their natural sugars making them taste just as sweet as candy. We highly recommend root veggies, such as beets, cooked carrots and sweet potatoes.
  • Grill: The grill seems to make anything taste better. Carrots, corn, beets, and cauliflower are excellent choices for grilling. Just spray with a little extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle on some salt, pepper, or seasoning of your choice first.

    I am so thankful for your book. As of today I have lost 28 pounds. In December, 2012 I weighed 213 pounds. I have battled a weight problem my whole life, I knew I needed to make some changes and get the weight off. During a typical January conversation with some friends about dieting and weight loss the Mediterranean style of cooking and eating came up. So later that evening I went to the internet and typed in Mediterranean Diet, of course, there were so many different options and “plans”. Your website was one of the choices and it interested me because it was stilling being created. Well needless to say, I am very happy with me decision. It really has come down to cooking healthier, eating proper portions, and moving more. The only exercise that I have added is I wear a pedometer and work to get 1 minimum of 10,000 steps per day.
